Is anyone used WSJT-X with FT100D? Can you tell me your WSJT-X rig
configuration and any other configuration/menu setting you did? I am
using an external USB sound card that is working fine.

I am not getting audio out from my computer to the FT100D. The sound
card is fine, the cables going from sound card to the 6-pin data
connector is fine. CAT control works perfectly. I'm stumped.

My WSJT-X rig settings:
PTT Method = CAT Mode = USB
Test CAT = Green
Test PTT = Red
Tune/Transmitting in this configuration - Rig goes to transmit, but no
audio out

PTT Method = CAT Mode = Data/Pkt
Test CAT = Green
Test PTT = Red
Tune/Transmitting in this configuration - WSJT-X error message "Hamlib
error - invalid parameter while setting current VFO mode"

PTT Method = CAT Mode = Data/Pkt and manually set FT100D to DIGI mode
WSJT-X switches mode to USB on transmit

Trying any other PTT method does not work

The FT100D works fine when working SSB with mic.

Thanks for any help,
Roy K2RMA

I get great results using VOX ptt with a Signalink USB external sound
card. The output from the Signalink is fed into the data port....

With the help of Mike W9MDB, my FT-100D radio is now working with WSJT-X

Issue #1 (required) - Set FT-100D menu item #34 AFSK Mode to RTTY-U
(default is PKT-FM)
Issue #2 (tweak) - Set FT-100D menu item #28 AFSK Level to 9-10 (default
is 50%)
Issue #3 (required) - Set FT-100D front panel mode switch to DIGital
Issue #4 (required) - Set FT-100D VFO-B to VFO-A (A=B) from the front
panel [B] key
Issue #5 (required) - Set WSJT-X File/Settings/Radio/Mode = RADIO (not
USB) - see bug note below
Issue #6 (suggested) - my USB external sound card has a MIC input and
the FT-100D was overdriving it. Per Mike, I have ordered a different USB
sound card which has a line input (look for USB External sound cards
with 3 jacks, not 2).

Email me if you need more information, help, tips, etc.

Bug note - Mike found a bug related to hamlib and WSJT-X when setting
the WSJT-X File/Settings/Radio/Mode = DATA/PKT. He fixed it for me and
sent me a new .EXE file, so now I do not need to do item #4 - WSJT-X
will now switch my radio to DIG mode. I'm guessing that this fix will be
included in the next WSJT-X major release.

PTT Method = CAT Mode = Data/Pkt and manually set FT100D to DIGI mode
WSJT-X switches mode to USB on transmit
UPDATE - this was because WSJT-X was in split mode, but my VFO-B was in
USB mode rather than DIG mode - see issue #4 above
